Here is the website, graciously set up by Judy Kent, that has a lot of tabs, mp3s, and videos of tunes we do in Music Roots. You can find some of the basic core songs under the Music Roots tabs and also songs that have been taught in the slow jams under the 1962 tab. This is a GREAT resource!

Ensemble students opened the evening show of the Mountain View Bluegrass Festival on Nov. 10th, 2012. NBC was in town with Chelsea Clinton filming the kids and conducting interviews for an upcoming "Making A Difference" segment. The kids even showed up at school on Sunday so the crew could film a class in action.

We are so grateful to Joe McDonald for the help we've had in getting this website up and running! We've had some spam issues in the "Forum" section of the this website which we've had trouble correcting. We'll hopefully figure out how to prevent this SOON. In the meantime, cruise this site WITH your child! |

Otherwise known as the 1963 Festival Jam, this "slow jam" has been moved to Tuesday, beginning Nov 20th at 6pm at the Mtn. View Fire Dept. building at 205 N. Bayou Drive. This is a great opportunity for students and anyone else who would like to play with others and learn new tunes.
